Problem:
My website/blog had a good visit per day and it was also ranking good on Alexa. However, recently the per day visit has dropped drastically. And, alexa ranking is also dropping gradually day by day.
Cause:
There are many reasons for poor ranking in google search result. Some of them are:-
– Navigation problem
– Duplicate content
– Offline for long time
– Malware links
– Site redesign
– Loss of backlinks
– Lack of fresh contents
– Slow site
First of all, you need to know what has actually happened to your website.
1. Deindexed – When your domain is completely removed from Google. Also known as Banned.
2. Penalized – When your domain or page still exists but none of your pages can be found through very direct search queries. This penalty can be automatic through the Google algorithm or manually applied by a Google Quality Engineer.
3. Sunk – Your domain or page wasn’t Deindexed or Penalized, but the traffic you were getting from Google suddenly drops dramatically. Also known as Sent To Hell and Sandboxed.
