I just registered a free .np domain name.

To register a free domain, you have to fill up a registration form available in the website –> http://www.register.com.np/form.asp

But before that check the domain availability in the link –> http://www.register.com.np/check_domain_availability.asp

While filling up the registration form, you have to fill up the hostname and ip address of the nameserver which provides the space to host your pages.

Suppose, if i want to host my pages in www.awardspace.com, which is a free web hosting site; then i will create an account i.e. i will sign up in www.awardspace.com and choose a domain hosting scheme.

The name servers of www.awardspace.com are
ns1.awardspace.com
ns2.awardspace.com
ns3.awardspace.com
ns4.awardsapce.com

you can ping the links above and get their ip.

you can also visit the site –> http://dnsreport.com
for free and thorough report on the dns for your domain.

After you fill up the form, you have to attach a photocopy of you citizenship along with an application for the free registration of .np domain and submit it to mercantile office at durbarg marg, kathmandu.

After one or 2 days, you will have your free .np domain.
